Plans to launch DSP ML Green World Fund

Name of Fund: DSP ML Green World Fund

Scheme: It is an open-ended equity growth scheme.

Objective: The investment objective of the scheme is to seek to generate capital appreciation and provide long term growth opportunities by investing in equity and equity related securities of companies domiciled in India whose products and services

  • Reduce net greenhouse gas emissions,
  • Improve management of scarce resources,
  • Have potential positive impact on the earnings of the companies either through trading of carbon credits or cost reductions,
  • Operate in environmentally and economically sustainable markets, have a long-term positive impact on their communities and society at large.

The secondary objective is to generate consistent returns by investing in debt and money market securities.

Investment options: This open-ended equity growth scheme, which has 2, plans i.e. regular and institutional plans. The scheme offers growth option and dividend option with sub options of payout dividend and reinvest dividend.

Asset Allocation: The scheme will invest 65-100% of its portfolio in equity and equity related securities of companies domiciled in India. It will invest 0-35% in units/shares of overseas mutual funds, which invest in companies engaged in the production of energy through alternate energy resources and in alternate energy technologies. The scheme may invest 0-10% in debt and money market instruments.

Face Value: Rs 10.

Entry Load: There will be no entry load charged under institutional plan. For retail plan, 2.25% an entry load will be charged where the purchase amount is less than Rs 5 crore, nil for the purchase amount more than or equal to Rs 5 crore.

Exit Load: No exit load will be charged for institutional plan. For retail plan, 2.25% an entry load will be charged where the purchase amount is less than Rs 5 crore, nil for the purchase amount more than or equal to Rs 5 crore. The scheme may charge an exit load of 1.00% if investment is redeemed before 6 months from the date of allotment. There will be 0.50% an exit load charged for redemption made on or after 6 months but less than 12 months. No exit load will be charged if redemption made on or after 12 months from the date of allotment.

Minimum Investment Amount: The minimum investment amount under regular plan is Rs.5000 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter. For institutional plan the minimum investment amount is Rs 5 crore and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter.

Targeted amount: Rs 1 crore.

Benchmark: BSE SENSEX.
