DSP-ML Opportunities announces dividend
Record date for dividend payment is 8 March 2007
DSP ML Mutual Fund has declared a dividend of 50% (Rs 5 per unit on face value of Rs 10) in its an open-ended equity scheme - DSP-ML Opportunities Fund.
The objective of the scheme aims to generate long-term capital appreciation, and the secondary objective is income generation and distribution of dividend, from a portfolio constituted of equity and equity-related securities, concentrating on the investment focus of the scheme.
The record date for the dividend is 8 March 2007. All investors registered in the Dividend Plan of the schemes as on 8 March 2007 will receive this dividend. Please note that dividend as decided shall be paid, subject to availability of distributable surplus. Pursuant to payment of dividend, the NAV of the schemes would fall to the extent of payout and statutory levy (if applicable).
The last dividend announced by the scheme was of 50% in January 2006. Over the last one year, DSP-ML Opportunities Fund has yielded 9% as compared to 14.9% given by its benchmark S & P CNX Nifty as on 6 March 2007.
