DSP Merrill lynch Fund has launched DSP Merrill Lynch Small and Midcap Fund. It�s an open-ended equity growth scheme, which seeks to generate long-term capital appreciation from a portfolio that is substantially constituted of equity and equity related securities, which are not part of top 100 stocks by market capitalization. The fund offers regular and institutional plan (Growth & Dividend).

It will be initially available for subscription from 29 September 2006 to 16 October 2006. Minimum investment under regular plan is Rs. 5000 and is Rs. 5 crore under institutional plan.
